Enmore's traditional owners were the Cadigal people. Convicts who became millionaires, retired sea captains, merchants, judges, bushrangers and rock music have all contributed to Enmore's colourful history.
Son of a German-born convict, JF Josephson became a successful musician, lawyer, investor, and patron of the arts, as well as a municipal and colonial politician.
