Commemorative plaque that was installed in the Strand Arcade as part of the Sydney Green Plaques project in 1985. The text on the plaque read 'This arcade, designed by John Spencer, was opened in 1892 and is the last remaining example of a form of retail shopping once common in Sydney.'
